Different serves

Serving

Hello Alois,

I've noticed that most players have more than one serve. Is this a good idea? If so please could you recommend another serve or other serves that I should try to learn? I currently only use the pendulum serve.

Thank you

Hi Matthew,

It is good to have a couple of serves that you can use but you don’t need to perfect 5 or 6 serves.  I think 2 or 3 serves that you work on are good.  With each of those 2 or 3 serves you can have a lot of spin and speed variations.

Try the Backhand or Tomahawk serves to start with as a second serve.
