Whenever I do practice counter hit, I am not able to place ball to corner every time. I am trying it with flat bat position but as the ball goes away from me or close to chest I do not able to control the ball to the corner although ball is on the table. Please suggest me what to do?

Hi,

I think the best idea is to put a target on the table.  This focuses you on where you want to put the ball.  Then just stay hitting your counterhits and see how close you can get to the target.

Let me know how you get on.

#33 - Defending with the Block

One thing you can be sure of is that every top player will be able to keep the ball on the table with a solid block when under pressure. It seems that this is a pre-requisite to becoming a good player. That's why in this training session we focus on improving your block. If you can absorb your opponent's attack you will be in a good position to win a match against them.
