Equipment
Hi Alois
I am aware that using a bat that is too fast for your standard can be detrimental to your development. To be precise, it can ruin your technique as you try to compensate for an equipment you can't control. But just wondering if there were any drawbacks to your table tennis development if you use a bat that is SLOWER than you can handle.
To provide some context to my question, after using some super fast rubbers (with a commensurately hefty price tag), these days I use some bargain basement rubbers which are still good enough but slower than I am used to.
Thanks!
Hi Ji-Soo,
If they are slightly sower then I don’t think it will be detrimental. If for example a top ranked World player was using Mark V he would have to try too hard to generate the speed that he needed and may “over try”. However if he was using Pryde instead of Vega Pro I don’t think there will be a great problem.
