So I read if you attack with topspin and opponent blocks with anti spin then the spin will not change and come back to you with your topspin but in your perspective it’s a backspin. What about the rubbers with grip? Are they the same with anti spins or they are effecting the spin so if you attack with topspin you will get topspin as well

Hi Yagiz,

If you topspin and they block with Anti spin it will come back to you with backspin.

If you topspin and they block with normal inverted rubber it will come back to you with a bit of topspin.

I hope this clears up your query.

Strawberry Flick

The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
