I have a simple question about playing against different kinds of rubbers . If I play against long pimples , short pimples or the already made ( readymate) GKI Bats like OFFENSIVE XX etc ,then if I do a sidespin serve or a backspin serve against them, then does they return the spin back or does they simply destroy the spin and gives back a lose ball ( with no spin ) . Also , which kinds of serves will you suggest me to do against long pimples and short pimples rubbers , I generally do a counter serve , because the player generally dont make a topspin and give back a long ball with not much spin ( a bit of backspin ) and I can easily make a topspin .

Hi Tushar,

When they return the ball with long pimples it will reverse the spin that you have put on the ball.  The more spin you serve with the more spin you will get back.

Against long pimples I like to do a backspin serve that will come back with topspin that I can attack.  Against short pimples I also like a backspin serve that they push back and I can use a topspin attack.  They can generate some spin of their own with the short pimples.
