hi Coach,

Can you show some exercises for improving speed, footwork and improving match fitness (in clear words- not getting tired during games)

i went through the blog on strength and speed on your website but it was a bit theoratical in nature, and was thinking a demo of exercises could help.

I have also started getting pain in my knees since the time i have been playing TT- last one year, i stop having the pain when i dont play for a week or so, there are players who are much more heavier than me, who don't seem to be having this problem, can exercising help?

thanks once again, you guys are doing a great great job!

regards

Hi Manish,

This is something that we will look to produce in the future.

Some ideas to start with are to do some medium distance jogging, or bike riding.  This will increase your ability to last longer during matches.  To improve speed you can do sideways shuttles moving fast across the width of the table and back.  Do these for around 10 seconds as fast as you can and then have a rest.  You can do this 3 to 5 times.  Make sure you are remaining balanced while you are doing this for best effect.

The pain in your knees is something you should see a professional about.  This could be from a wide range of things.

Thanks again for your kind feedback.

#9 - Forehand Attacking Technique

In this session we introduce some random drills. A random drill is where you don't always know where the ball is going. Random drills are really important for your development as they are more game like. You need to be able to play your strokes well even when you don't know where the ball is going. We also continue to work on your new serve. This week we introduce a target into your service practice to help you gain even more control on your serve.
