Extension

Strokes

Hi Alois, does my topspin stroke really need to be an extension of my counterhit? because I don't really have it that way and I have it fully grooved, because I have my angle closed to generate speed and im brushing behind it and the problem is if I extend it with my counterhit I still brush the ball from the side but upwards.

Thanks!

Hi Pasquale,

I think it is best to have it as an extension.  It is easier to transition between strokes that way.  Your counterfeit should not have sidespin on it though.

Yes it shouldn't but I mean if I hit the ball with topspin but I hit it on the side, but still generates topspin is that ok?

Try to keep pure topspin.  You will get better consistency with it.
