Strokes
When the ball is served to me with a very heavy backspin, how can i strike it forehand on the table before not too much goes up to send back very speedly? i do it very well with my backhand but can't do it with my forehand..
By the way, thank you for your informative site which i find it very useful or me..
Hi Arif,
The key is to put a lot of topspin on the ball. You can do this by getting a good brushing contact on the ball and swinging your arm through fast.
The topspin will also allow you to lift the ball up and over the net without going too high. It does take a lot of practice to make this shot. Take a look at our lesson on the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin to make sure you are doing the stroke correctly.
Chop blocks can be deceptive and frustrating — but with the right technique, you can take control.

✔ How chop blocks differ from standard blocks
✔ Why timing is crucial when countering
✔ How to adjust your stroke to lift and loop effectively
