Hi Alois,Jeff,

When we talk about forehand drive, whether it's same as forehand counter hit?

What's the difference between forehand counter hit and forehand top spin?

Hi Ashish,

Yes Counterhit and Drive are the same thing.

The topspin is a longer version of the stroke. With the topspin you also brush the ball on contact to generate the spin. Take a look at our lessons on the Forehand Counterhit and the Forehand Topspin Against Block.

Thanks Alois, It makes me clear, in counter hit you just hit the ball without any top spin or little bit.Same thing we do in smash, flat hit.

Alois, recently I bought table tennis bat, wakaba 2000 butterfly. Is this good bat for me?My friend says that it's surface is little bit smooth, dots are not visible so problem in spinning. What should I do to get maximum spin from my bat.

Thanks.

HI Ashish,

That bat is OK.  You will be able to get some spin on the ball with it.
