The rubber on the red side of my bat seems to be offering too much speed for me both on my forehand and backhand. How can I cope with that?

Hi Roman,

What sort of rubber is it and how long have you had it?

You could think about changing the rubber or try to hit a lot more balls with it and see if you can get used to the speed of it.  Sometimes it takes a while to adjust.

Tone is in Your Fingers

There's is an old saying about guitar playing - tone is in your fingers. And If you've ever seen a really good guitarist play an old guitar then you'll understand how true that saying is. I know we go on a lot about this topic but it is so true. Once you've got yourself a decent bat, it's no longer up to the equipment, it's up to YOU!

I use Stiga Magna TS II rubber on a defensive blade. I have been using it for 2 months. My guess is that I should try to get less tension in my wrist and make a slower swing.

Yes, less tension is often a key.  It helps you feel the ball better and control the stroke.
