Strokes
In the past i've watched your topspin training video, wich was a great help to me! Thx for that! And now some 1,5 year later I've became an attacking player. However my topspin strokes go a few inches over the table half the time... :S
So how to adjust this:
A) Try to make a more horizontal stroke (towards the net and less upwards)
B) Or make the same stroke as I did before (which movement is up and forward in an +- 40 degree angle) but with less speed? (holding back a little)
Thx, in advance!
Bram
Hi Bram,
I think the solution is to just turn your bat a little forward. This will get the ball going lower. So probably 'A' is the right answer here.
Question actions
How is it that a player can always seem to get back those extremely fast topspins? Is it their incredible anticipation? The key to good anticipation actually lies in tracking the ball well. When you watch the ball closely your peripheral vision will pick up your opponents movements and with lots of practice those signs will help you anticipate what your opponent is going to do. This happens naturally with lots of experience. So it it your job to ensure that you are tracking the ball really carefully.
