Strokes
When playing a match if my opponent is hitting to my back hand have no problem if my opponent suddenly hits a top spin to my fore hand i am not able to in my fore hand i try to play in my back hand to improve on fore hand block what should i do. i am good at blocking in my fore hand but suddenly if it comes to my fore hand i am not able to play.
Hi Abhishek,
Maybe the solution is to be more ready for a forehand block. If you say you can block with your forehand normally then it is a matter of reacting quickly enough to get in to a good position and then play your stroke.
Try to be more prepared for the forehand. This may also mean a slight movement of your feet to move around to more of a forehand position.
Also make sure you are watching the ball carefully during the rally and try to track it as early as you can. This will give you the best chance to react in time.
The forehand counterhit or forehand drive is the foundation for more attacking strokes such as the forehand topspin or forehand loop. There are 3 critical factors:
If you concentrate on these 3 factors then your stroke will become extremely consistent. Once you can reliably hit 100 balls in a row then you are ready for more attacking strokes. If you can hit 1,000 balls on in a row then you know you've truly mastered the stroke.
