Forehand goes long

Strokes

I got a new rubber DHS Hurricane provincial 24-108 a month ago on a butterfly blade.

I hold the bat using penhold right handed  & play a lot of forehand spin from the back of table.  I like the spin but find the rubber very hard.  I am hitting the ball out of table a lot when i do a forehand loop or back hand.  It has been a month now since I got this new rubber and blade and I am not used to it.

Could you recommend a good spin rubber but not hard rubber like DHS 24-108.

Could it be my technique or I can get used to it later maybe another 3 months ?

Hi Owen,

I think firstly that you can get used to the racket.  If the ball is always going off the end of the table then you can adjust the angle of your racket on contact by facing it a little more to the floor.

If you are looking for a softer rubber we recommend Mark V or Pryde as two rubbers that will give you good spin and have a softer feel.
