Forehand topspin aiming

Strokes

As a right handed player I can only aim my topspin ball to the left side of the opponents court. I have great difficulty aiming it to the right so that I can have variations when I aim. Is there a whole different technique to aim it to the other side or is it just a matter of having your bat angle open?

Hi Dante,

You can do three things, either change the bat angle, hit the ball later or change your feet position to be more side on so that the same stroke now sends the ball to the backhand side.

The last one is only possible if you have time.  It also gives your opponent more time to react because they can see the change in your body position.
