I am not able to build a forehand topspin during a game. So please help me to master this technique.

Hi Kshitij,

The only answer here is to practice and practice lots. Watch our forehand topspin video and imagine yourself playing the shot. To begin with concentrate on the start and finish position of the stroke. You can practice the swing away from the table just to get the feel of the stroke.

A good idea is to get someone to feed you a bucket of balls one at a time. This way you can practice the stroke hundreds of times in a small amount of time. Take a look at our video on the Forehand Topspin against Backspin for an example of how this can be done.

Once you have developed the technique during your practice sessions you will slowly be able to introduce this into your matches. It will take some time and you will make mistakes but it is an important stroke to learn so keep persevering.
