Hello,

Firstly, I have been following you guys on Youtube for many years and I absolutely love the stuff you guys put out.

Onto my question, when I am doing a forehand drive I sometimes start with my arm in the the back, stiffen/flex it, and then follow through with a lot of force. Now when this works, it's effective, but I fear it may be damaging to my arm. I follow through with a lot of force. Should I maybe just use my body and torsional force more than my arm?

HI Noor,

If this stroke is hurting your arm you should definitely change your technique.  You can keep your arm slightly unlocked at the start of the stroke will put less strain on the elbow in particular.

The swing can be more relaxed which will put less strain on your arm as well.
