When you are playing the ball faster you can still add to spin. This adds safety to the stroke because the topspin drags the ball down onto the table.

It is a difficult action initially Abdul. As we show in the forehand topspin video. Start quite slowly and consistently and only slightly increase the speed of your stroke and add a little topspin. Practice this for a while and when you get comfortable you can increase the speed again slowly. By building up the stroke this way you'll keep the correct action. Remember it does take a lot of practice so keep working on it.
