Hey

I am having a hard time with my forehand loops. It seems that I am able to loop it because it is a long ball but when I hit it I feel very awkward because it feels like the ball is too close to the table for me to do a proper forehand loop. Any tips? Please :C

Hi Mark,

This can be awkward.  Wait for the ball to drop off the end of the table and then play a quite vertical topspin to lift it over the edge and over the net.

Track the ball all the way and as it comes off the end of the table you can make the topspin.  Don’t try to hit this ball too fast, just think about lifting it with good topspin.

Forehand Block

The forehand block is one way to counter a topspin stroke hit to your forehand side. Learn this stroke and you will be able to keep yourself in the rally even when your opponent get the first attack in.
