Serving
Hi PingSkills! I'm a shakehander. When I try to serve like he zhiwen like you taught, the ball doesnt go long and fast at all...how can I fix that problem?
Hi Xariuz,
Firstly make sure you are modifying your grip by taking your 3 fingers away from the handle and putting them behind the handle. This will allow you the freedom of the wrist that is required.
Next, you need to allow yourself to make mistakes by hitting the ball long. I often tell players to really smash the ball on this serve.
Give these a try and see how it goes.
Many players unknowingly break the service rules in table tennis. In this video, we break down the official ITTF service rules so you can serve correctly and avoid faults. Whether you're a beginner or a competitive player, mastering the rules will give you an edge in your matches!

Yes a bit flatter to get it moving faster.
