Hi Coaches

If you watched the match between William Henzell and Vladimir Samsonov I just wanted to know what serve was Henzell doing. What I thought was he was doing the tomahawk serve but with a twist of his own version. What do you think?Tnx

Hi Enoch,

I have watched Henzell a lot.  He does the tomahawk serve but doesn't put a lot of speed on the ball which makes it difficult to attack.  It is a different serve that other players don't see a lot so it makes it more difficult to deal with.  He also knows what is happening with the next ball.

He played brilliantly to take Samsonov so close.

Yes, Henzell lost 4-3 against Samsonov in the last 32. It was a superb effort by the Australian.

actually henzell gets very good leads like his game against wang liqin , but he seems to lose it as quick as he gains it at times.

nontheless a winner from australia.

ps. have you or alois played him antime , jeff?

@oliver unknown: yes, i remember watching that match on youtube a little while ago, and being very surprised to see wang li qin so completely flummoxed by someone's serve!  he had a really hard time returning effectively, or even at all, that day...
