Hi Alois,

I know that  while doing service we can't hide the contact of ball and bat but after doing serve can we hide the contact below the table or behind our body, to distract the opponent.

Hi Aasim,

During a rally there is no restriction on this. You are allowed to let the ball drop below the table and make a shot from there. However I wouldn't recommend this. You'll put yourself into a far worse position by trying something tricky. You are better off during the rally getting into a good position and executing a decent stroke.

Hitting the Ceiling

When the ball hits the ceiling the point is over. You must hit the ball directly back onto the table otherwise you lose the point. In International tournaments the roof needs to be at least 5 metres above the playing surface but in local competitions you might often encounter much lower ceilings.

If hiding a serve is forbidden, how can I make sure that it will be difficult for my opponent to recognize what spin is on the ball?

By disguising the action of the service swing and the contact.  We have a section on this in our Serving Secrets lessons for Premium members.
