Hi Abraham,

The main thing when hitting the ball hard is to keep good technique and stay relaxed through the stroke.  Often when we try to  hit the ball hard we tense up especially in our shoulder.  This will make the stroke different and not allow our bat to move as fast as possible.

Concentrate on keeping technique.

In our video on the forehand counterhit, Alois casually mentioned that if you can hit 1,000 forehands in a row you know you have mastered the stroke. Well, we thought we had better put ourselves to the test. So here is us attempting to hit 1,000 forehands on in a row. Enjoy!

Although, ideally, you want to make sure that your consistant with your forehand, before you even think about increasing the power of the shot. You see, power in the shot, initially comes after you have a solid technique as an add on to make your forhand more deadly. You don't want to focus on just putting power on it, that will just put down the consistency of the shot.

I hope this helps you
