Hitting straight

well,I\'m a beginner and I found out that I\'m stuck when return the ball too left or too right on the table..I can\'t return it straight..how could I manage to do it right???
And I\'m confused for my arm..what\'s the right position when hitting the ball??

Hi Vin,

The direction of the ball is often to do with the angle of your bat.  If your bat is facing to the right that is where the ball will go and similarly to the left.

If the ball is going to the left it may be you are holding the bat a little tight.  Your start position of your stroke should have the bat facing directly to where you want the ball to go.  Stop with your bat in the starting position and see if it is facing in the right direction.  This will also help your arm position.  Take a look at the start position on the Lesson on the Forehand Counterhit.  This should help you to understand what I mean.
