How to return a chop permanently. i.e we again should not get a return to our return to that chop.
Hi Anegondi,
It is very difficult to hit a complete winner in Table Tennis. Usually your opponent has some chance of making the return. I would recommend that first you work on improving your consistency by practicing the forehand topspin against backspin. Once you can hit a lot of balls on the table in a row, you can start to work on improving your power by increasing the speed of your stroke. You can do this by getting your legs more involved in the stroke, turning your waist faster and moving your arm through faster. This will cause you to contact the ball faster and hence generate more power making it harder for your opponent to return your shot.

Watching videos of top attackers looping over and over again against great choppers makes me think that if there was a way to put those balls away definitively they would have found it! Actually a drop shot seems to win the point often, but only because the chopper was forced back by fierce attacks.
I know the feeling though, after a while you just want to slam it and knock that chopper over if possible. I find myself muttering, "This is my best stuff. What does it take?!"
