Hi Alois and Jeff, how do you reflect the type of sidespin serves when if you touch the ball it goes to a diffrent direction then the direction you are aiming because i am 4th best in yr 6,7 and 8 in school and some boy beat me by pulling of sidespin serves

Hi Ikrama,

The main thing is to use your racket like a rudder to steer the ball back. If the ball wants to go to the left, face your racket to the right and  it will steer the ball back straight.

Try to play against that boy more and you will get used to his spins.

alex, if the ball wants to go to your left and you face your racket to the right, the ball will go even more to the right quicker. if the ball is going to your left, face the blade to the left and the ball will straighten up. as it first hits ( on a straight blade ) it will kick back to the direction it came from so you are making it worse for yourself by turning your blade to the direction it came from. i wonder if the question is correctly understood
