Strokes
Hi Alois! Hi Jeff! I'm glad that you have answered my questions.
This time I want to ask you to tell what to do when I try to make loop of backspin ball. My opponent serves a long backspin serve and I try to loop it but it goes off the table. Then he plays exactly the same serve and I try to topspin it but it falls into the net. What should I do?
Nasko
Hi Nasko,
It may be that they are changing the spin on the ball which will lead to a different result with what you are doing.
Try to maintain the brushing contact on the ball to generate the lift and spin. Give the ball a bit more clearance over the net to allow for adjustments of spin and make sure you have the spin on the ball to get the ball to dip onto the table. A slower stroke with a lot of spin will get the stroke more consistent.
Topspin-to-topspin rallies are fast, dynamic, and can be the key to winning more points! 🏓🔥 Learning how to control these exchanges will help you stay on the attack and put pressure on your opponent.
