How to clean a tacky rubber

Hi,
I was just wondering, is it ok to clean a tacky rubber eg(hurricane 3) with table tennis rubber cleaner and a sponge.

Hi Elliot,
Yes that is fine. Or you can just use a damp cloth as well.
