Hi Alios,

I want to ask you how to deal with the drop shots, I always play with players who are very aggressive so i get forced backwards, so when they smash or when they top spin it I have to get back because im still a beginner so I lob the smash as you said in ur videos and i return the spins but when i lob the ball i get confused and start running to the table but then when i try to push the ball , my bat strikes the table instead so it hit the table and thus i cant return the drop shot please help

Hi Abdul,

The main thing is to watch the ball and try to get it as early as you can.  The earlier you get it the better a shot you will be able to play because you will be closer to the table.

By watching the ball closely it will help you to not hit the table and just hit the ball.

One other thing that a lot of players find is that they hit the ball too long.  This is usually because when you are running in you will find it difficult to compensate for the forward momentum you have.
