Its very tricky to do those. You can't move very far away. If the opponent sees you move he might cushion the ball near the net. One has to also keep in mind to defend in both ways - back and forehand. Also he has to concentrate on the ball as it travels very fast. I personally face a lot of difficulty in keeping those back on the table. But I think, as Alois always keeps saying, a lot of practice is the key.
