What type of technique should I use when playing against someone using Patrick's serve? Thanks!

Hi John,

If it is from a right hander, the ball will spin off to your left when it hits you bat.  So you need to face your bat to the right.  Don’t try to do too much with it, just get the feel of how much spin is on the ball and what angle you need to get.

You may also need to adjust the angle of your bat up or down to allow for any backspin or topspin there is on the ball.

With time you will get the feel of the correct angle of bat you need to provide to get the ball back.

So if you are left handed, you still face the bat to the right? Or can you do more?

Hi Rex,

The principle of where the bat faces is the same for both left and right handers.
