Hi Martin,

Losing can be very disappointing.

There are two ways of looking at it.  If you focus on th eresult, one person will always be disappointed.  If you focus on yourself theneveryone can feel good.

Think about playing well rather than focusing on the result. In Ian Thorpes Biography, it mentions a real focus of Thorpe to do his best and reach personal best times rather than winning races.  If we can start to focus a little more on playing your best, you will start to feel a lot better about your table tennis.

Having said that, I realsie how difficult it is to get close to this way of thinking.

There are lots of things that you can do here. I think I will do a Blog or DVD on this topic soon, as a little information can be dangerous. The main thing is to be able to reduce your anxiety level when you are playing. We need to learn some techniques to use here.
