Strokes
Hi Coaches!!
I have found that started to enjoy lobbing or chopping smashess.. it's funny and enjoyable.. the main thing is actually about how to improve the accuracy (*especially about the depth where the ball will bounce).. what is the main key? And how to predict where the smash will go (*or how to force the opponent to smash to small range of target)..
Thank's before..
Hi Kevin,
Gauging depth of your shot comes from focusing on watching where the ball is landing on the table. You can put a towel across the table close to the net so that every time the ball bounces short you will get that feedback.
Reading where the smash is going will come from really watching the ball carefully. The other thing is that you need to cover the angles of possibility of where they can hit it. For example if you hit the ball wide to the forehand corner then you should move to the diagonally opposite corner which is the likely angle of the return.
Once you have learnt the push stroke it is important to be able to vary the stroke to get better results.
