while looking for methods to improve the grip of my rubber,i came across this video:rnvnd.youtube:ys13rLMzezM?vndapp=youtube_mobile&vndclient=mv-google&vndel=watchrnis it safe to use oil as shown in this video?

Hi Vineth,

It is illegal to use oils on your rubber.  It may or may not improve the grip but it is still illegal.  I did a small experiment with some oil on a really old rubber and it didn't seem to help at all, but this wasn't an exhaustive experiment.

Unfortunately, if cleaning them with water doesn't work, it is not something that you can do.  If the rubber is dead it is time to get new rubber.
