Hi Alois and Jeff,

I've practiced my pendulum serve and reverse pendulum, but I don't know if my serves have a lot of spins on them. So, what's the indicator for spin serves?

Thanks a lot!
Regards, Archel

Hi Archel,

When you are serving, watch to see the bounce of the ball after the ball bounces on the other side.  Watch it till it stops to see the flight of the ball and the bounce.  If it goes straight it probably means it doesn't have much spin.  If the ball curves a lot then it will probably have sidespin.

This aspect of watching he ball after you serve is a really important part of learning serves.  By watching you get better feedback about your serves so you know which ones you need to replicate.

The Float Serve

The float or no spin serve is an effective tool to have in your bag of serves. It adds good variation to your serves and can often set you up with an easy 3rd ball opportunity.
