Injuries in table tennis caused by the plastic ball

Hi coaches please review this article and give me your thoughts.

From what has happened at Polish open could this be coming true?

Will this effect us average players or will technology come to the rescue in the form of even faster rubbers.

Hi Nigel,

I don't know how much of the injuries are due to the new ball.  I think time will tell with these sorts of things.  If the ball size changes back to being just 40mm then this may also solve any issues of reduced speed.
