Hi alois and jeff!

i want to tell you that i bought a new racket.i went to the shop to buy a penhold racket but i was not getting it at all(in bangalore, india).luckily there was a table tennis player in a well known sports shop and he recommended me to buy a shakehand racket saying that there is no penhold racket in the shop and no one in india can teach you the penhold.the racket i bought is "joerex j601".what are your views about this racket and is it safe for me to change to penhold.

Hi Hari,

I have never heard of that type of racket so I can't help you out. Has anyone else used this type of racket before?

Never even heard of the brand.  From the websites, it seems like something sportscraft would sell. idk, it seems OK.  (Maybe a step down from Mark V?)  Don't see the harm in transitioning into penhold, but remember there is nobody to teach you penhold and with a shakehand racket, you can still play penhold, but with penhold, you can't play shakehand.
