Strokes
hi! im an offensive player who uses a korean penhold grip, but i have nobody who teachs me the backhand as a offensive weapon, i only use it to control the balls or to block, so thats my actual deficiency, and thats what is making me lose my games... i think only watching videos to learn it will take too long, so if i start to use a chinese grip it will be the same.. but i do have somebody who teach me how to use long pips, should i try to use the pips in my backhand? the one i dont use like a korean penhold... should i change to a chinese grip? or keep my self like a korean grip??
Thank you..
Hi Diego,
I would stay with the Korean grip. You can work on your backhand. I think watching videos is a great way to improve it. Watch some of the Korean players that have a strong backhand. Just by watching you will find you get some improvement. I loved to watch Kim Taek Soo and Yoo Nam Kyu playing their backhand. It was really inspiring.
