Hey Alois and Jeff

My league has lots of backhand pushers and I simply can't get enough topspin over this push as it has loads of backspin on it, therefore it goes in the net every time. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Tim,

Think about lifting the ball rather than going over the ball.  It is a brushing action up the back of the ball.  In training, aim to get the ball at least 30 cm above the net.  You can start by going to the extreme and getting the ball about 100cm over the net.  This will force you to brush the ball with topspin and brush up the back of the ball.

Take another look at the lesson on the Forehand Topspin Off Backspin for some more help.
