Strategy

I'm left-handed. Are there any special strategies or tricks I can use either to make up for my weeknesses against right-handed players, or to surprise and destabilize them?

Thanks!

Hi Jean,

The best thing is that other players don;t get to play against us left handers as often so we have the natural advantage anyway.

Try different types of serves and see if they can adapt to the spin of the left hander.

Serve deep fast heavy pendulum serves into their wide forehand and smash their topspin down the line : -)

Did left handed player have a advantage in double game as they just have to do a counter serve but right hander have to adjust to do a forehand serve?

I like playing lefthanders :DD
Especially those who have great imbalance between forehand and backhand.

I am a left-hander too and I have already realised lot of right-hander can't read my spins and serves . And trainers told me that a good lefthander-player has 3 or 4 points advantage per set against right-hander. In addition trainers educate for right-handers how to play against left-hander.
