Lighting the table

Discussion

My current lighning scheme for night-time playing in my ping-pong table room is very poor (it is a regular 2 light bulb scheme), I want to improve my current situation: I want to know about the ideal number of light bulbs, its relative position relative to themselves and the table, the recommended type of light for table tennis playing, etc... Could you advice me on what to do? Or recommend me websites that touch on the subject?

Best regards,

Homero

Hi Homero,

I think the best for homes is to get some Fluorescent tubes.  If you can get about 12 over the table area that will provide good light.  Make sure they also cover the area behind the table.

As far as the height, you want to allow enough height to play sufficiently well so put them as close to the roof as you can.

Others may be able to help you more on this forum as well.
