Looping

Hi, I was wondering if looping was an offensive or defensive kinda play.

I see choppers do it a lot so im a bit confused :S

Hi Kon,

There isn't a definite line between defenders and attackers.  Some defenders will only defend and others will be able to attack quite well.  To reach the highest level in the World as a defender, you need to be able to attack as well when the opportunity presents itself.

Looping is classified as attacking.  However the modern day 'chopper' needs to be able to loop well.  This keeps the attacking player wary that they can't just push the ball back onto the table and stay in the point.
