Alois,

I'm a modern defender and my equipment is allround blade, long pips and 1.5 mm smooth rubbers.

Most of the time, I chop, push with my long pips and topspin, push and chop with my smooth rubber.  What minimum thickness of sponge can I use to loop the ball.

Thank you in advance,

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo,

I think the minimum is 1.5mm but you probably need 2mm to make it effective.

Hi Alois,

Please recommend a rubber that I can loop, smash, chop and push.

Thank you,

Rodrigo

Hi Alois,

I am using Hallmark Power Spin 1.5 mm.

You could go for a 2mm in that or go for something like a Rakza 7 with more spin and speed.
