Looping with medium pips

hi alois,
I am using medium pimples on my backhand. The question is how to loop the ball with the backhand? Should I close the racket on contact or close the racket.

Hi rahul,
It is difficult to loop with the medium pimples. You will need to open the angle of your bat in preparation for the stroke and keep the angle during the stroke. This will give you a chance of lifting the ball. Unless the other player gives you a lot of backspin, it will be difficult to generate any topspin.

Hello Alois, i'm using medium pips too, how is the better way to attack the opponent pushes? Loop or a fast flat hit attack? Thanks.

A flat attack is the easier way. The pimples don't have enough friction to make a looping action.

Giovanni,try to watch... Mima Ito or Miu Hirano,one of them uses or used medium pips I think.
