When i get into my hitting comfort zone and start pumping out the forehand topspins which make them uncomfortable i am really inconsistent some of them are amazing yet some of them go into the net or under the table any pointers? its normally the 4th or 5th ball of the rally. I play down the line or crosscourt im really not sure whats going on please help

Hi Tom,

Consistency comes from good balance and having the stroke perfectly grooved.  If you can be balanced and in position and then you can replicate a good stroke the stroke will go on the table.

Work on these two things during training.  In a match situation what may be happening is that during the rally you are tightening up which means your stroke will change due to the tension. I find the most common area of tension is the shoulder.  See if this is happening to you.

Good to know.  Now try to work on getting it consistently in the right spot. It will get better.
