Dear Alois and Jeff: My blades are 10 mm hinoki j-pen which are known for their feel and speed. Should I use softer or harder rubber to avoid concealing the feel of the blade?. I want to optimize the feel of the whole setup. I also prefer the rubber with the highest grip. Your answer might save me much money and the subsequent aggravation.

Hi Eduardo,

I would think softer rubber would allow you to feel the ball better.  Others may be able to give you more information.

Hello, Alois: Thanks for the quick answer. So you think the feel of the blade won't be dampened by the soft rubber? That is my concern. Right now I'm using a Bluefire m2 which is medium hard and pretty fast at the table but not as good away from it. I'll experiment (once more) playing close and away. For that purpose I have a couple of choices of soft rubbers: The T64 and the Calibra sound. What do you think?

I have no real preference.  Don't know enough about them.
