Opening the angle of my bat

Strokes

Hi Alois, on my attacking forehand topspin strokes, is it ok that when i get to my finish position to open the angle of my bat while getting to it or it should stay the same angle? because i feel more comfortable with it and when i keep the same angle, i have to adjust each time and my brain hurts a bit for thinking too much, if i can, should i start doing the stroke slowly? because i also see professional players like ma long opening the angle of his bat when following through, but of course he finishes too high. So what do you think i should do? i will also get my first training partner next week, so i will be able to train my consistency.

Thanks for reading!

Hi Pasquale,

I like to keep the bat the same angle through the stroke which makes it easier to get consistency with the stroke.

That is exciting that you will have a training partner because I know this is something that you have been struggling with.
