how do you do the pengulum serve, I am having trouble getting enough spin on the ball, any suggestions?
Hi Mike,
The 4 basics are you stand side on to the table in your backhand corner with your left leg touching the table. You then start with your bat up as high as your shoulder. You then swing down with your forearm (the pendulum). You cantact the ball in a brushing action to generate the spin.
I hope this helps.

Im not sure, but it might help if you got a towel and started whipping it. When you do your backspin pendulum you need to recreate this action to help the ball spin more and be faster, generally creating a more effective pendlulum. This technique was taught to me by brett clark and hes really good at serving backspin. The footwork that alios said is really very important aswell, so pay close attention to your stance!
