Serving with penhold and playing with shakehand. Is this a good idea?

Hi Matias,

I would recommend using the same grip for both.  You can easily modify your shakehand grip to have the benefits of the penhold grip for service.  Just take the three fingers off the handle and put them in a fist behind the handle.  Then as soon as you serve go back to the standard shakehand grip.  This will be easier for transitioning.
