Strokes
Dear Coach,
Have watched you & Alois' video clips on net. They are very interesting. Both of you are Shakehand Grip players. But, I am a Penholder player. Although two kinds of grips possess most of the similarities, they still have some differences. Will the Super Pack DVDs helpful to those Penholder Players? Are there any demonstrations concerning Penholder players' method inside the aforesaid DVDs, such as in Own Practice Clip--how to roll the ball from one side of the blade to the other side of the blade?

Hi,
You are right there are a lot of similarities between the shakehand and penhold grips.
We have a lesson available on youtube regarding the Penhold Techniques for Table Tennis. If you watch this lesson it will show you the differences. Then you will be able to relate the lessons to penholders.
The main difference is with the backhand. We will show you the differences in this lesson.
The strawberry flick is the opposite of the banana flick and involves utilising the wrist to get the ball spinning with topspin and sidespin. Used in conjunction with the banana flick it can be very deceptive. The banana flick is a more reliable stroke and that's why you see more top players using it over the strawberry flick.
