Saludos.

Dear Coach, Why the traditional Chinese penholder style is no longer popular. If I get to have a good level in this style, I will always be at a disadvantage with respect to the European style.

Regards.

Hi Julio,

The main restriction is with the backhand but now if you can use the "Reverse Penhold Backhand" you can overcome some of this.

You can still reach a very high ranking using the Penhold style as you can see with "Xu Xin".

Hola julio

Dear trainer, how many sessions and in how long can you achieve to acquire the inverted reverse technique for penholders? Is it better to train with a robot?

Hi Julio,

I think you can get the basics in a few days. Then you can develop the stroke to a level that you can utilise it in a match situation.  I think it is best to practice with a training partner to really get the feel of hitting the stroke.

Hola julio
